2 more days!!!

It's 2 more days to my Birthday day. Time really flies, I'm already studying in University and everything practically changes around me. Getting new friends, new buildings surrounding the block I'm staying and the new environment I'm in. It's been more than 13 years since I moved to Bishan from Jurong and after so long, I've not gone back to have a look around my old place I lived in. I really miss the good old days, when I was a young kid studying in a school just minutes' walk from my home. After school, I will be playing and running around the playground in between the school and my home with my friends. During that time, I really did have some great friends, some which I lost their contacts while one or two I'm still in contact with. ;) Haiz...

I finally went back to Jurong, well, just took a MRT past Jurong to Boon Lay for Ryan's wedding dinner a few weeks ago. Everything changed, condo's everywhere, all the HDB flats hidden beyond my sight, even the flat that I stayed 13 years ago. The place brings great memories and it's a carefree place. After our family relocated to Bishan because my father was being assigned to work from EDB in Jurong East to the new workplace in AMK. After that, I studied in CHS where I totally, and I mean totally, got a culture shock. Too be honest, I heard the first vulgarities in primary 5. Everyone, well almost of all the people, may heard their first 'words' eariler than that, but I got them on my first few days in my new school. Well, the 'words' were not said to me but it's the first time I heard of it. Everyone in school was yelling and yanking away those 'words'. Gosh, what situation am I in? Maybe I was in the wrong place. I felt that maybe my family did the wrong thing by relocating here. Haiz... Although those 'words' were in everyone's daily 'must-use' idioms, I just ignore them. Why are they using them everyday, any time and anywhere? =.="

I did made some friends in my second primary school though, not much. Too be honest, everyone's playful in that school and most did not seem bothered with studies. In those 2 years (primary 5 and 6) in that worst school I have ever been in, my 'friends' practically destroyed my love for studies since I was little, in just that 2 short years. That was my father's worst decision putting me in that school.

After that, I moved to secondary school. Being not able to study well in primary 5 and 6, I did real badly in my PSLE, causing my chance into going to a good secondary school. But there, I did made alot of good friends, good buddies I should say. It did ignite my passion to study, but it wasn't that easy to pick yourself up when you fall flat in the previous 2 years. I did relatively better in that 4 years, although I thought that I could do better.

I moved to poly and the results were practically borderlined, nothing to be proud of. I did gain some knowledge on IT stuffs while studying in poly. But it seems that those stuffs that I learnt there looks to be outdated and people are learning even new stuffs. Haiz... Maybe a bad choice picking up that course. But come to think of it, if I didn't take this course, I wouldn't be able to meet great friends, working together for 3 whole years and finally wouldn't get to meet someone whom I kept thinking about.

Procceding to the 2 years in army. I did give up on myself before entering NS, but to be honest, I'm really suprised that I improved tremendously during the 3 months of BMT. After moving out of BMT, you can see my fitness starting to drop at an alarming rate. One of my highest point in my life was that I did participate in the NDP2008, as a RSAF GOH member! I couldn't possibly forget that moment. Gosh, that was the highest point in my army days.

And now, after so many years spend studying, making new friends and 'scraping' through 2 years of army, I'm again back studying. This time pushing for a degree. Though I'm still unsure what I am going to work as in future, I'm just going to get some results before my career starts off. Woohooo, so many years of good times and troubled times, I've already made it this far. Even though I did alot of mistakes these 22 years of my life, I'm going to improve as much as possible, push myself hard and do well in everything!

That's all for today, hope that you people have a great weekend ahead. Happy Easter! ;)
