Woohoo, I'm back. Finally my BBQ Birthday Party is here and before you know it, it's already over?!?! Time really passed so fast. My thanks to all those people that have come to attend my party.
Finally, after 3 months of training, I finally pass out from the RP course. The whole week was such a busy week. GPMG live firing on monday, operation steelwall on tuesday and wednesday, clearing and stores on thursday and finally the POP parade on friday. Many of the people did not managed to fire the GPMG on monday because of the time constraint and I'm one of the lucky ones that managed to fire. The rifle's recoil is so great that it can push you off course from where you are firing.
On tuesday, the day after the live range, we have to go outfield for our operation steelwall. From building of the GPMG bunker to building a fence around the base area, it's very tiring and seeing that everyone's doing the upmost part in helping each other, everyone's working doubly hard to complete as soon as possible. But problems arises and the bunker is not done that well and we have to readjust the sandbags, causing us alot of problems. Finally, when everyone thought that we have completed the bunker, the whole roof collasped! We managed to fixed the thing before daylight and everyone was just relieved that everything's over.
POP parade, what does it mean to you? Happiness, relieved? Yes, I feel that way, but to me, the POP parade here and the POP parade at BMT is totally different. I feel a sense of achievement when I celebrate POP at tekong but not here. Why? I'm not sure myself, but I did feel something different, something missing in this POP parade. Anyway, congrats to my section's James for receiving the platoon best, Aloyus for getting the company best and Alvin for getting the company best PT. One thing I'm puzzled about, why is the best platoon not us? Why have the other platoon done to get the award instead of us? Hmm.... *wonders*
Now, I'm just staying at home, resting and waiting to book in on thursday for our OJT (on job training). It'll be turnouts for the rest of the 2 weeks, almost nothing else but turnouts. They will be testing out our vigilance and our reaction times. They have not said how long will the training be, but just hope that this OJT is over as soon as possible, as you will surely have sleepless nights these few days.
Ok, that's all for today. Hope that everyoe thing will go well for you and me, tomorrow will be a brand new month, the month of april. Hope that everyone will be well. Good luck to me!!! ;)
